COE’s mission is to achieve college access and success for low-income, first-generation students.

MasteryPrep’s mission is to help every student score college-ready on the ACT.

For all too many students, the ACT college entrance test is more of a barrier than an opportunity equalizer.

MasteryPrep seeks to change that by working with educators to provide premium ACT preparation to low-income, first-generation students, many of whom have no other prep options.

"MasteryPrep provided the JSU Upward Bound Program with immeasurable assistance by preparing students for the ACT, as well as equipping our instructors with additional techniques and strategies that went beyond test preparation. The pre-test and post-test evaluation of both individuals and groups not only allowed our program to develop a more intense individual academic plan, but addressed the collective needs of specific grades. Finally, the customized instruction booklets aided in the motivation and pride of the program overall, as it spoke to our program’s commitment to be intentional in meeting the needs of our students."

Reginald Castilla, Director of Upward Bound, Jackson State University

"We have been delighted with MasteryPrep’s online and classroom curriculum for ACT prep. Our students are engaged and are showing excellent progress in meeting their goals on the ACT and elsewhere. I have, over the years, tried many programs, but this program has been by far the easiest to implement and the most effective."

Ron Abel, Director of TRiO programs, Southeastern Louisiana University

"The collaborative partnership with MasteryPrep for the South Carolina State University TRiO and GEAR UP students from eight partner high schools has been phenomenal. During our 2016 Summer Enrichment Institutes, over 100 students received small group and individualized 'Test Prep' instruction of the ACT administration of 'College-Readiness' facilitated comprehensive and intense sessions that helped participants understand, familiarize, and comprehend all aspects of the ACT. The students reported that they were enlightened, challenged, inspired, and encouraged to dissect the rigors of the examination matrix. Hence, the ACT sessions enhanced our students' academic outlook for the regular school term."
