What’s New in the MasteryPrep Platform? [Summer 2026 Updates]

Over the past year, MasteryPrep has introduced new platform features designed to give educators clearer insights, make personalized support easier, and improve the experience for students.

Many of these updates were shaped by feedback from the schools and districts we serve. Here are seven of the latest changes to the MasteryPrep platform—and how they can help educators support student success.

  • Custom School-Level Reports

School and district administrators can now build customized reports that bring licensing, platform usage, and test-performance data together in one place. Instead of downloading and combining multiple reports, administrators can now view aggregated results by school. 

District-level custom reports are planned for a future release.

  • Individual Student Performance Reports (PDF)

Educators and students can now generate an easy-to-read PDF summarizing an individual student’s performance on a practice test—including the student’s overall score, section scores, and a skill-by-skill breakdown. Educators can use these insights to identify strengths, determine where additional support may be needed, and guide conversations with students and families.

  • Skills View for Students

A new Skills view gives students greater visibility into their performance across the skills they have encountered in Online Lessons, diagnostics, and practice tests. This insights screen helps students recognize where they are making progress and where they may benefit from additional practice.

  • Assignments (Online Lessons)

Educators can now assign specific Online Lessons to an individual student or an entire class outside of the standard Study Plan. Educators can create assignments directly from the Content view and use a detailed Drill-In view to monitor each student’s assignment status and score. Students can also view and access assigned lessons through a dedicated widget on their dashboard.

  • Study Plan User Interface Updates

The updated Study Plan experience gives educators clearer insight into student performance and greater control over assigned learning. Educators can now reset a Study Plan lesson for an individual student or an entire class, providing another opportunity for students to review important content. 

The redesigned interface also includes clearer progress tracking and a Scores by Student report that makes it easier to understand performance across a class.

  • ACT Writing Course with CRASE Scoring

With a new ACT Writing course, ACT Online Prep, Powered by MasteryPrep now provides preparation across all five sections of the assessment. Students receive scores through ACT’s CRASE automated scoring engine, available through MasteryPrep’s strategic partnership with ACT Education Corp.

The course gives students an opportunity to strengthen their writing skills, familiarizes them with the ACT Writing experience, and generates feedback within the platform.

  • Content Preview

Educators can now preview Online Lessons and practice tests exactly as students will experience them, which supports lesson planning and makes it easier to troubleshoot issues.

These updates reflect MasteryPrep’s continued focus on making test readiness more targeted, manageable, and connected to instruction.
